1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser when you visit. They help the site remember information about your visit — such as the items in your shopping bag — so you don't have to re-enter them every time you come back.
In addition to traditional cookies, we also use browser localStorage — a similar mechanism built into every modern browser — to persist your cart and consent preference across page reloads without expiring at the end of a browser session.
2. Cookies We Use
We use only the cookies and storage entries strictly necessary to run the store. Here is a complete list:

What we do NOT use:
- Google Analytics or any other usage analytics tracker
- Facebook Pixel or Meta audience tracking
- Ad retargeting or cross-site behavioural profiling cookies
- Any third-party marketing or advertising SDK
3. How to Manage Cookies
All modern browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Here is how to access cookie settings in the most common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari (iOS/macOS): Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Note on localStorage: Browser-level cookie settings may not clear localStorage. To remove localStorage data, open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), go to Application → Local Storage, select lakshaorganics.com, and delete the entries manually.
4. Your Choices
When you first visit the site, a consent banner will appear at the bottom of the screen. You may:
- Accept — all functional cookies and localStorage are enabled; your cart and session will persist normally.
- Decline — functional cookies are limited; however, because our cart relies on localStorage, declining may cause your shopping bag to reset between visits and checkout may not work correctly. Authentication session cookies from Supabase will still be set during login as they are technically necessary.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing the laksha_cookie_consent entry from localStorage via your browser's Developer Tools. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
